Location Overview

Lake Hemet is surrounded by the majestic beauty of the San Jacinto Mountains. This property has a 600+ site campground, RV Park, marina, Water Park, high volume camper store and deli, and much, much more.  The scenery is breathtaking no matter which direction your gaze travels. Tall pines, manzanita trees, sage, and giant oaks abound. Remember to pack a camera and binoculars, and keep a watchful eye, as the eagles are often seen soaring above and around the Campground. There are also plenty of Hawks soaring overhead throughout the forest and campground. Come and enjoy camping, fishing, boating and the breath-taking scenery all year round.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

POSITION: Regional Marketing Coordinator

DIRECT REPORTING TO: Director of Marketing

CLASSIFICATION: Regular, Full Time, Non-Exempt



  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field preferred.
  • Experience: minimum of three years related in sales and marketing responsibilities in travel, rural tourism or outdoor recreation.
  • Skills/Knowledge: Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques in print, radio and online/social media formats.     .
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Passionate about ensuring guests have a positive experience.
  • Highly organized self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues.
  • Proficient in computer use including word processing, excel spreadsheets, e-mail functions, customer management software, power point, and social media.
  • Advanced knowledge of advertising principles with an eye for detail.
  • Willing and able to work in a fast paced team environment with varying shifts including weekends, holidays and evenings.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and adept at handling change.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 10 years.
  • Reliable transportation.


Based out of Lake Hemet Recreation, the Regional Marketing Coordinator plans and implements sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or collectively through regional teamwork. This position requires participation in company wide marketing meetings and assisting with various marketing projects throughout the year.


  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, sales plans, and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for services at Lake Hemet Recreation, Diamond Valley Recreation, Lake Gregory Recreation, Vail Lake Resort and Little Lake. Develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets.
  • Maintain communications Corporate Marketing Council and with regional tourism associations and destination marketing organizations.
  • Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
  • Maintain relationships with all media spokes.
  • Maintain systems to record and retain customer/prospect database. Be familiar with Regional operations systems to capture data and recommend improvements or updates.
  • Attend appropriate trade shows as determined by Management.
  • Attend network meetings for industry related groups as demand permits.
  • Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share, to help achieve satisfactory return on investment in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
  • Ensure effective control of marketing fulfillment, measures and tracking, and takes corrective action to achieve marketing objectives within designated budgets.
  • Oversee and evaluate market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Maintain office hours in the designated Regional Office when not engaged in the off-site marketing functions.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all data/information related to specific job assignments and The California Parks Company in general.
