Location Overview

Located nine miles north of Laughlin on the Arizona side of Lake Mohave, Katherine landing features RV facilities, boat rentals , boat slips, launch ramp, picnic area, marina, dry storage, restaurant, snack bar, general store and other resort amenities. Boat rentals range from personal watercrafts to 16-foot fishing boats to 18 foot runabouts for waterskiing and exploring, 24-foot patio boats and house boats that sleep up to 14 people.

Responsibilities & Qualifications



Essential Functions

  • Courteous, professional behavior at all times with guests & co-staff
  • Be aware of all responsibilities of gate kiosk staff
  • Observe and report during patrol rounds in the park
  • Work closely and compatibly with Agency Ranger Staff
  • Work closely and compatibly with County Sheriff’s Office
  • Competent usage of reservation program
  • Occasional use of Excel spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of general information concerning rates, Park rules and regulations, lake conditions, current fishing report, operation hours of store, operation hours of main office, and any special events or activities, that may be occurring is essential
  • Awareness of emergency procedures, which might entail directing emergency vehicles to problem area and/or clearing a traffic lane for an emergency entrance.
  • Assist with park issues as necessary or directed, and inform management of the issues and potential problems.
  • Responsible for knowing where management staff is and how to reach them at all times.
  • Report any potential issues/problems to management staff and other proper chain of command
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors
  • Continuous contact with staff and public



    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 5 years.
    • Proficient in the English language and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
    • The ability to multitask is essential.
    • Security/Patrol experience.
    • Proficient in use of Low Band CB Radio and codes.
    • Ability to retain campsite information and read a park map.
    • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
    • Courteous and professional when greeting guests and co-workers.
    • Swift problem-solving capability in stressful situations.
    • Requires weekend, night and holiday work.
    • Reliable transportation.
