Location Overview


Manzanita Lake Camper Service store and Camping Cabins offers convenience and comfort in a scenic setting of the Lassen Volcanic National Park.  We provide rental cabins, gift, grocery and supply sales and kayak rentals.  Within walking distance of Manzanita Lake, a popular fishing and family destination, and offer a view of 10,457-foot Lassen Peak, the largest volcano in the park.


The store and cabins are located one mile south of the park entrance, perched at an elevation of 5,890 feet and adjacent to a 179-site campground. Manzanita Lake is popular with fly fishermen for its trout, however, the area does maintain a catch-and-release policy and requires the use of artificial lures and single barb-less hooks only. The park boasts more than 150 miles of hiking trails, a variety of which can be accessed from the campground, including family-friendly hikes as well as those for more experienced hikers. Manzanita Lake is also a favorite spot for birders.


Responsibilities & Qualifications



    • Overall kitchen responsibility
    • Trains all kitchen staff
    • Oversees all cooking and preparation by staff, participates if necessary
    • Assists with menu planning
    • Purchases supplies and equipment with direction
    • Maintains clean and orderly cook station, following sanitation and food preparation and storage guidelines
    • Reports all inventory and supply issues to supervisor
    • Notifies supervisor immediately any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
    • Adheres to Company dress code while on duty



  • 2 years minimum experience in restaurant food preparation
  • An understanding of restaurant/cafe operational procedures
  • Willing and able to work varying shifts, weekends, evenings and holidays in varying weather conditions
  • Possess ServSafe or similarly approved sanitation and safety program
  • Possess current California Food Handler certificate
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Able to prioritize and work in fast-paced environment.
  • Able to give direction and work in team environment
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 5 years.
  • Must be able to work varying shifts and days
  • Reliable transportation
